Context-window forensics: per-turn input/output token estimates, the single largest tool output of each turn, oversized tool calls (args over 50 KB), and compaction events, recorded as metadata only (tool name, byte length, ids, timestamps — never args or results) in a local SQLite DB under HERMES_HOME/plugin-data/context-audit/. Adds a /context-audit slash command that prints the top 5 context eaters over a window with one mitigation per entry.

Skill that runs a pre-trade safety check on Base ERC-20 tokens (honeypot/sellability, measured transfer tax, owner/mint/pause flags, liquidity, SAFE/CAUTION/AVOID verdict) by curling the Grey Ridge x402 API's free preview endpoint. Skill-only: no tools, hooks or env vars.
Good to know before installing
The skill has the agent run `curl` against Grey Ridge Signals Group LLC's API (x402-data-api.sigrunner.workers.dev, the same service as api.greyridgesignals.ai) with the token address and, for the swap gate, trade side and USD size; each response carries a paid URL that the skill tells the agent it can call with an x402 client (suggesting `npm i x402-fetch viem`), paying $0.01 USDC per call on Base from whatever wallet that client is given, and it mentions an unpinned `pip install git+https://github.com/rezearcher/greyridge-x402-tools` helper that the user installs themselves. Its verdict is a heuristic, not financial advice.

Algorithmic (no-LLM) context compaction engine: builds summaries by deterministic regex extraction instead of a summarizer-model call — zero-token, byte-reproducible, inside the built-in ContextCompressor; compacted turns stay searchable via session_search.
Good to know before installing
No network calls, no env vars, no secrets, no telemetry; registers no tools/hooks/middleware and reads only the turns the host passes for compaction; debug: true (default false) writes one metadata-only file $HERMES_HOME/vcc-debug.json. Derived from pi-vcc (MIT, sting8k)

Persistent long-term conversations across session boundaries via structured handoff briefs and token monitoring.
Good to know before installing
Stores handoff briefs (topic, work in progress, decisions, open questions, next step; in aggressive mode auto-built from the first 200 characters of recent user messages) as plain JSON under HERMES_HOME/long-conversations/ and injects the pending brief into the first turn of the next session for the same chat or user (CLI briefs stay in one local scope and are not shown to messaging users); the model can change the plugin's settings with long_conv_config_set; an opt-in HERMES_LONG_CONV_BETA_LOG writes a local event log; no network calls.

OpenRouter API-key spend and recorded chat costs in USD/INR.
Good to know before installing
Sends the configured OpenRouter key (OPENROUTER_API_KEY, or the variable named in api_key_env) only to openrouter.ai's read-only key and generation accounting endpoints, and fetches public USD/INR rates from api.frankfurter.dev unless a manual rate is set; middleware on every LLM request records ids, model, token counts and reported cost (no prompt or reply text) to its own ledger; the dashboard reads accounting metadata (session ids, token counts, billing provider) read-only from the state.db and OpenRouter Spend ledger of every profile under the Hermes root.
From the plugin's catalog listing.
How to install
Install it. Hermes asks for any API keys it needs (this one needs OPENROUTER_API_KEY), then asks whether to turn it on.

A quotum seat's Venice key as a provider. Private and anonymized models, with the seat's daily cap, spend and the 20:00 UTC bell in /usage, and a Seals tab in hermes dashboard with the seat's record.
Good to know before installing
Prompts and QUOTUM_SEAT_KEY go to api.venice.ai; /usage, Desktop usage and the Seals tab send a 16-hex sha256 handle of the key to quotum.org, then the Seals tab reads the seat's public record from quotum.org (the key itself is never sent there); QUOTUM_X_SEARCH=1 swaps in its own client that drops Hermes web_search for Venice-side web and X search (billed per search); seats are funded by the QUOTUM crypto token

Community (non-official) plugin that rewrites Hermes terminal commands through RTK (rtk-ai/rtk, Apache-2.0) before execution, so the model sees compact output instead of raw command spam — cutting tokens on common dev commands. Adds a fail-open pre_tool_call hook (2s timeout, unexpected exits leave the command untouched), an optional desktop pane, and update scripts.
Good to know before installing
Every terminal tool command is passed to the rtk binary found on PATH (rtk-ai/rtk, installed separately) and replaced with rtk's rewrite before approval and execution; fail-open when rtk is missing or errors. Community mirror of upstream's hooks/hermes/rtk-rewrite, not affiliated with rtk-ai. scripts/update.sh downloads the pinned RTK release binary (v0.49.0, checksum-verified).

Per-turn cost classifier across three model tiers (Quick / Standard / Expert): rates each user turn from configurable best_for lists and rewrites the outgoing request's model through the llm_request middleware, biased to keep the previous tier unless the turn changes shape, with escalate_model for tool failures.
Good to know before installing
The plugin rewrites the model field of every outgoing request for a classified session, picking between three configured model ids that must all belong to the session's own provider (a foreign-provider tier is refused and the session model stands); it makes one bounded auxiliary classifier call through the host's plugin LLM route on each classified turn (up to about 12,000 characters of recent conversation plus the prompt), reading its model ids from config.json next to the plugin, MODEL_PICKER_CONFIG, or MODEL_PICKER_* env, and falls back to the host's primary model; routing decisions, with the first 120 characters of each classified prompt, are logged to $HERMES_HOME/logs/model-picker.log; a classifier-driven tier change can ask the context engine to compact the transcript before the switch, and escalate_model replaces the next request's context with a model-written handoff summary plus the recent tail; that engine registers only when the host config sets context.engine: model-picker.

Desktop only; no network calls of its own (prices come from the gateway's model.options and a bundled models.dev rate table); stores per-day token totals, per-session counters and last-known rates in its own Desktop plugin storage; costs are list-price estimates, not billing data.

A bell in the Hermes desktop composer that pings the ntfy topic Hermes already uses when a turn finishes. Click to cycle off, current turn, or all turns.
Good to know before installing
When enabled, posts the first line of each finished reply plus model, duration, token and cost figures to the ntfy server/topic Hermes is configured with (default ntfy.sh); reads NTFY_* from the profile .env and falls back to the ntfy CLI's ~/.config/ntfy/client.yml login (read-only).

Jev-powered routing for misspelled, shortened, and meaning-based slash commands in the Hermes Desktop composer. Preserves drafts when unsure. Requires a TypeSafe API key; every non-exact lookup uses paid TypeSafe API usage.
Good to know before installing
Every non-exact slash token is sent through the plugin's local backend to api.typesafe.ai (paid, your TYPESAFE_API_KEY) together with the Desktop command catalog (names and descriptions), any prior route, up to 8 saved correction explanations and any clarification you type into its panel; message arguments and conversation content are not sent; the backend reads HERMES_HOME/.env only to check whether TYPESAFE_API_KEY is set.

Hermes Call Ledger

Per-call cost ledger for Hermes Desktop: every model call Hermes makes is recorded from the observer hooks (provider, model, tokens, duration, outcome) and paired with the charge the billing provider actually took.
Per-call cost ledger for Hermes Desktop: every model call Hermes makes is recorded from the observer hooks (provider, model, tokens, duration, outcome) and paired with the charge the billing provider actually took; works with no billing account, priced by Hermes' own estimate where the price book knows the model. English or Vietnamese; dong or dollars.
Good to know before installing
Three observer hooks (post_api_request, post_auxiliary_call, api_request_error) record per-call metadata from every profile in the install (session id, platform, task, provider, model, token counts, duration, finish reason, context length; never prompt, response or tool-argument text) into one shared SQLite ledger at <install root>/plugin-data/call-ledger/calls.sqlite, and import this plugin's own older per-profile ledgers into it once. It caches the vilao.ai model list there and the USD-to-VND rate under the active profile's plugin-data/call-ledger. Network is GET-only: vilao.ai (wallet balance, per-request usage, consumer keys) with VILAO_PAT read through Hermes's secret scope (vilao issues one full-scope token per account, including wallet writes; this plugin only reads), the public vilao.ai model list with no credential, and open.er-api.com for the dollar rate. The first full billing pull pages back through up to ten years of the account's usage. Nothing runs while the Desktop page is closed. Derived from hermes-resetwatch (Adolanium, MIT).

Personal-finance tools over your own local hermes-finance database: spending, budgets, transactions, net worth, bills, loans, investments, cash flow, goals and categorization rules (read-only), a bank sync on request, and four writes (file a transaction, add a rule, set a budget cap, track a bill) that each wait for your approval and are blocked under cron and other unattended runs. Needs a separate trusted app checkout prepared with Python 3.12 and `uv sync`, set as HERMES_FINANCE_APP_DIR.
Good to know before installing
Reads open the separate hermes-finance app's SQLite database outside the plugin directory, and the plugin imports that app checkout's code into the Hermes process, so it runs whatever that checkout contains, not the catalog pin. `finance_sync` runs the app's sync, which calls Plaid with your optional Plaid keys and fetches security logos from financialmodelingprep.com (ticker symbols leave the machine). `hermes finance completion`, started by the app's Ask panel, sends that conversation and your finance results to your profile's own model. The opt-in report jobs (`hermes finance crons plan/apply`) write profile-owned entry scripts and run the app on a schedule. They call Plaid and, with a live read-only key, Alpaca (GET-only); they look up car and home values through NHTSA, Wikimedia/OpenStreetMap and, only if you switch them on, Carfax (in the local Chrome at 127.0.0.1:9222) and Redfin. The daily job's agent applies transaction categorizations through the app's own CLI without a per-change approval card. The four approval-gated writes stay blocked in cron. Live output/input tokens-per-second chip in the Hermes Desktop status bar for a local llama.cpp server. Hermes itself reads the server's log ($HERMES_HOME/logs/llama-server.log, last 200 lines: `tg = X t/s` for output and `prompt eval time ... X tokens per second` for input) and serves it at /api/plugins/token-rate/; the chip polls that route once a second. The counter starts off — click the chip, or run the palette entry "Token Rate: start/stop the tok/s counter" (Ctrl/Cmd+K), to start it; the on/off flag is a file ($HERMES_HOME/cache/token-rate-state.json). It also registers the get_token_rate agent tool, so the model can read its own speed.
Good to know before installing
It reads one local file (the llama.cpp log) and nothing else: no network calls, no external process, no extra port, no API key, no credentials, no telemetry. UI is English by default, Italian when the app locale is Italian.
