About HermesWatcher

HermesWatcher is an independent field guide for people using Hermes Agent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nous Research.

Why this exists

Hermes moves fast and does a lot. The official documentation is the authority on what it supports; this site focuses on the practical layer around it: which task to start with, how the pieces fit, how to check a result, and what to do when something breaks. It is run by the person behind @HermesWatcher (opens in a new tab) on X.

Where the material comes from

The community library collects metadata from the official Hermes user-story dataset: headline, author credit, date and a link to the original. Post bodies and videos are not reproduced. Source-index metadata is adapted from the Hermes repository under its MIT license; the original creators keep their own material.

Guides, tool records, FAQ answers, the glossary and the cheat sheet are original explanations written from the official documentation and repository, each with its sources listed. Workflow blueprints and starter prompts are original editorial approaches. Release notes are attributed upstream material.

What the labels mean

Community report
An attributed account in a source collection. Its outcome has not been reproduced here.
Blueprint
An original, source-informed approach. Instructions and runtime behavior still need validation in your setup.
Docs-backed
An original explanation reviewed against linked primary sources. The review date records that source review; it does not prove compatibility with every installed version.
Example run included
A published example run on saved sample inputs, with its environment, results, limits and files published. It does not certify every variation, live integration or unattended deployment.

What updates automatically

A collector retrieves public story metadata, official release records and a bounded window of merged pull requests. It validates the result before replacing the last successful snapshot, and new releases can create review candidates for potentially affected pages. A keyword match does not prove a compatibility problem. The collector never rewrites guides or upgrades evidence labels on its own.
