Long Conversations

Persistent long-term conversations across session boundaries via structured handoff briefs and token monitoring.

Good to know before installing

Stores handoff briefs (topic, work in progress, decisions, open questions, next step; in aggressive mode auto-built from the first 200 characters of recent user messages) as plain JSON under HERMES_HOME/long-conversations/ and injects the pending brief into the first turn of the next session for the same chat or user (CLI briefs stay in one local scope and are not shown to messaging users); the model can change the plugin's settings with long_conv_config_set; an opt-in HERMES_LONG_CONV_BETA_LOG writes a local event log; no network calls.

How to install

Install it. Hermes asks for any API keys it needs, then asks whether to turn it on.
hermes plugins install long-conversations
Said no? Turn it on later:
hermes plugins enable long-conversations
Restart Hermes so it loads the plugin.
