Cursor Provider

Cursor model provider using the official proprietary Cursor SDK.

Good to know before installing

Uses Cursor's proprietary cursor-sdk (PyPI, bundled binary bridge on loopback) with the user's CURSOR_API_KEY; sends the full conversation, tool schemas/results and images (HTTPS URLs or base64) to Cursor; keeps private per-session SDK workspaces under HERMES_HOME/cache/cursor-sdk; Cursor built-in tools and MCP are requested off and Hermes keeps tool execution and approvals.

How to install

  1. Install it. Hermes asks for any API keys it needs, then asks whether to turn it on.
    hermes plugins install cursor-provider
  2. Said no? Turn it on later:
    hermes plugins enable cursor-provider
  3. Restart Hermes so it loads the plugin.

Some plugins also need a sign-in or settings: see Full setup & settings. Memory plugins ask whether to become your memory provider instead. Steps follow the official plugins guide (opens in a new tab).
