  1. At 0:00

    Title over a purple gradient: "Showed it once. Hermes does it now." Hermes Desktop sits beside a Fernhill Provisions reorder page, and a "Hermes" tag moves through the delivery form.

  2. At 0:03

    The page shows "Order placed" with an order summary. Then the clip rewinds under a "Rewind" label.

  3. At 0:05

    Dark red screen: "Hit record." A terminal types "hermes record --slug reorder".

  4. At 0:07

    "Do it once." The user fills in the reorder form by hand while a "reorder.json" panel records with a REC timer.

  5. At 0:08

    Each step lands in the log: a click on "Barista Oat Milk", the quantity "24", a click on "Continue", the date "2026-10-27" and the time window.

  6. At 0:11

    The keys "Ctrl" and "C" end the recording. The terminal prints "Saved 10 steps" with the path to the recording file, and the "/learn" command to run in a Hermes chat.

    "Order placed" confirms 40 cases of Barista Oat Milk for Friday, Oct 30 in the morning, with a total of "$1,536.00".

  12. At 0:22

    Black screen: "Passwords never get recorded." A password field fills with dots, and the recording stores only "value": "{SECRET:pw}".

  13. At 0:24

    End card: "A Hermes Labs plugin by Nous Research" with the command "hermes plugins install workflow-record".

  14. At 0:25

    The video closes on "@HermesWatcher" on a white screen.

Do a browser task once while it records your clicks and form entries, then /learn turns the recording into a skill Hermes can replay. Passwords, one-time codes and card numbers are masked.

Okay, this is insane.Show Hermes how to do something once. It does it from then on.hermes record is a new Hermes Labs plugin from Nous Research that turns a browser task you do yourself into a reusable skill.
  • Records your clicks, field values and page changes
  • /learn turns the recording into a skill
  • Hermes replays it with its own browser tools, with new details each time
  • Passwords, one-time codes and card numbers are masked and never saved
  • Recordings stay on your machine until you run /learn
What you can do with it:
  • Reorder supplies from a vendor portal without touching the form again
  • Log into a dashboard and check an order's status
  • Knock out the same weekly form, like a timesheet or expense report, with one message
Teach it by doing instead of writing a prompt.
