Yandex Search API

Yandex Search API as a backend for the built-in web_search (provider name yandex), plus a yandex_generative_search tool for grounded answers with cited sources.

Good to know before installing

Sends web_search queries and yandex_generative_search questions to searchapi.api.cloud.yandex.net, or to the base URL in YANDEX_SEARCH_API_URL if you set one, with your YANDEX_API_KEY and YANDEX_FOLDER_ID read through Hermes; the Search API is a paid Yandex Cloud service billed to the folder that owns the key; no other endpoint, no telemetry, no file or shell access, no background process. Independent community plugin, not affiliated with Yandex.

How to install

Install it. Hermes asks for any API keys it needs (this one needs YANDEX_API_KEY, YANDEX_FOLDER_ID), then asks whether to turn it on.
hermes plugins install yandex
Said no? Turn it on later:
hermes plugins enable yandex
Restart Hermes so it loads the plugin.
