Govee

Discover and control Govee lights (power, brightness, color, white temperature, scenes) through Govee's developer API. Every command is checked against the model's advertised capabilities and ranges, then confirmed by a state read-back.

Good to know before installing

Sends device IDs and control commands to openapi.api.govee.com with your Govee API key; the model can change light state; stores nothing on disk.

How to install

  1. Install it. Hermes asks for any API keys it needs (this one needs GOVEE_API_KEY), then asks whether to turn it on.
    hermes plugins install govee
  2. Said no? Turn it on later:
    hermes plugins enable govee
  3. Restart Hermes so it loads the plugin.

Some plugins also need a sign-in or settings: see Full setup & settings. Memory plugins ask whether to become your memory provider instead. Steps follow the official plugins guide (opens in a new tab).
