Agent Vault
Search archived coding conversations and retrieve exact session revisions through the separately installed Agent Vault macOS app. Launches the app's existing MCP server through sh; reads the authorized archive through its local daemon. Vault handles storage-provider traffic. No bundled binaries, telemetry, credential-file reads, self-updater, or new background service.
Good to know before installing
Launches the separately installed Agent Vault app's own bundled Node MCP server (/Applications/Agent Vault.app or VAULT_APP_PATH) through sh with your VAULT_MCP_TOKEN binding token; that server code ships with the app, not in this repository. Its tools return archived conversations from Cursor, Codex, Claude Code and Hermes stored under ~/.vault (or VAULT_HOME) into the model's context, which is sent to your model provider. The app handles its own storage-provider traffic; the plugin adds no telemetry, network calls, credential-file reads or background service.

How to install
- Install it. Hermes asks for any API keys it needs (this one needs
VAULT_MCP_TOKEN), then asks whether to turn it on.hermes plugins install agentvault - Said no? Turn it on later:
hermes plugins enable agentvault - Restart Hermes so it loads the plugin.
Some plugins also need a sign-in or settings: see Full setup & settings. Memory plugins ask whether to become your memory provider instead. Steps follow the official plugins guide (opens in a new tab).
