Agent Mail Gateway
Email for your agents through a self-hosted Agent Mail Gateway: the agent-mail skill teaches reading, searching, replying and forwarding mail, attachments, sending and answering calendar invitations, how to react when the gateway's pre-send review or the operator's policies stop a message, and prompt-injection rules for email content. Portable Agent Plugins v1 package (skills/ only, no code, no mcp.json): you connect the gateway yourself as a remote MCP server in mcp_servers with your own key; the gateway enforces per-mailbox sender/recipient allow lists.
How to install
- Install it. Hermes asks for any API keys it needs, then asks whether to turn it on.
hermes plugins install agent-mail-gateway - Said no? Turn it on later:
hermes plugins enable agent-mail-gateway - Restart Hermes so it loads the plugin.
Some plugins also need a sign-in or settings: see Full setup & settings. Memory plugins ask whether to become your memory provider instead. Steps follow the official plugins guide (opens in a new tab).
