# Collect content ideas without losing the evidence

> Monitor a focused topic and create a ranked queue of source-backed ideas with distinct editorial angles.

Basis: An editorial blueprint: an original, source-informed approach. Check commands against the official docs for your version.

## The useful result

A small editorial queue that explains the reader need, evidence, proposed angle, and next research step for every idea.

## Before you begin

- A defined audience and subject boundary
- Approved discovery sources
- A durable idea queue with duplicate detection

## How to approach it

1. **Specify the reader problem**: Choose the audience and the questions they repeatedly ask. Popularity can be a discovery signal, but does not establish usefulness or truth.
2. **Collect original sources**: Use community roundups to find examples, then follow links to primary posts, repositories, demonstrations, or documentation.
3. **Deduplicate the underlying event**: Five posts about the same feature should usually become one idea with several sources. Preserve disagreements rather than flattening them.
4. **Add an editorial contribution**: State what your reader will learn that the original material does not already explain. Good additions include a comparison, a worked example, or a practical limitation.
5. **Keep publishing separate**: Save the research and draft angle first. Review factual claims and attribution before any authorized public distribution.

## A prompt to adapt

Replace the brackets and run a bounded trial first.

```text
Find up to [number] useful content ideas about [topic] for [audience]. For each, include the reader question, original sources, a distinct angle, missing evidence, and next research action. Merge duplicates. Do not copy source prose or publish anything.
```

## When it does not work

When a viral claim lacks supporting evidence, retain it as a research lead rather than promote it to a tutorial or recommendation.

## Check the result

Does every idea have a reader need, a source trail, and a contribution beyond rewriting the source?
