## Good to know before installing

The Desktop page starts a local web server on 127.0.0.1 (random port, per-run token) that can read and write media and image files anywhere under your home folder (and any VE_EDITOR_ROOTS); preview caches go to the system temp folder. The agent tools run ffmpeg/ffprobe on the input paths the model passes and write media, image or .srt files at the output paths it passes (replacing an existing file only with overwrite: true).

## How to install

1. Install it. Hermes asks for any API keys it needs, then asks whether to turn it on.

hermes plugins install hermes-video-editor
```

2. Said no? Turn it on later:

```bash
hermes plugins enable hermes-video-editor
```

3. Restart Hermes so it loads the plugin.
