Basis: Explained from the official Hermes Agent docs and repository (Nous Research). Steps follow the linked official sources.

## Give every finding a source record

Hermes provides web retrieval and other tools that can support research. Tool availability is a starting point; the research procedure must still decide what qualifies as evidence. Our recommended queue records the original URL, author or publisher, publication date when available, collection date and the exact claim being investigated.

Treat a roundup as a discovery route. Follow a lead to the original announcement, repository, demonstration or documentation whenever possible. If the original cannot be read, preserve that limitation rather than presenting the secondary account as an independently checked result. Several pages repeating one announcement are several links, not several independent confirmations.

## Separate facts from useful interpretation

Use distinct fields for the reported event, the supporting evidence, your reader's question and the proposed angle. This lets an agent update a changed fact without losing the editorial reason the item was collected. Group duplicates by underlying event or workflow, while retaining meaningful disagreements between sources.

For each proposed guide, ask what the reader needs beyond the original post: prerequisites, a worked example, a comparison or a failure path. Add that contribution in original prose. A short unsupported claim may remain a research lead indefinitely; it does not need to become a polished tutorial merely because the queue needs more entries.

## Scope and limits

This page proposes a source-management method; it does not claim that Hermes automatically implements every field or review step. Retrieval may be partial because of authentication, pagination or extraction failures. Date the collection, disclose gaps and use a bounded source set so readers can understand what the queue covers and what it cannot establish.
